Meet the Founder
Arpit Jain is the Co-founder and CEO of StudyPad Inc., which made the platform, Splash Math. Recently, Splash Math changed its name to Splash Learn.
As a B. Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Arpit earned his degree that year. Splash Math was his brainchild back in 2010. Arpit is a consumer net, mobile, education technology, SaaS, K-12 education, and mobile games entrepreneur based in India and San Francisco.
For Arpit, education technology is his life’s work. Previously, he was a co-founder of Intinno, an EdTech SaaS business that aimed to promote teacher-student cooperation. Arpit received a master’s degree in Computers and Information Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology. If given the proper materials and atmosphere, he sincerely thinks that any kid can learn and achieve. His vision for SplashLearn is driven by this conviction.
SplashLearn’s Game-Based EdTech
Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade math and reading are covered in the program from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 2. More than 6500 curriculum-related activities are available to students as they go via personalized learning paths.
With SplashLearn, youngsters may find a love for learning via fun and intuitive experiences. Game-based tactics like leaderboards, prizes, and badges are commonly used in gamified learning systems. While such systems can certainly help youngsters spend more time with the product, they have no major impact on how children learn.
To the contrary, SplashLearn’s Game-Based Learning model transforms how kids learn. Aiming to improve pedagogy via games and thereby making learning more effective and intuitive is the fundamental goal of the project.
Learning is made more fun and engaging with SplashLearn games because they are created with particular learning goals in mind. This is accomplished through a variety of rich settings, in-game explanations, relevant interactions, and creative in-game hands on activities.
Funding
Over the course of two investment rounds, SplashLearn has raised $25 million. On February 9, 2021, a Series C round of investment was completed for the company. Two investors have contributed to the growth of SplashLearn. Owl Ventures and Accel are the most recent additions to this list.
Almost three times as many pupils signed up for SplashLearn when the Covid-19 epidemic broke out last year. The United States accounts for the majority of the company’s users, with 30 percent of US schools utilizing the software, followed by the United Kingdom and Australia.
The money will be used to expand the teaching business, which was just started, as well as to ramp up the research and development team.
